## Getting Started

### Access Modes

**Guest Mode (Paper Trading)**
- Try the platform without logging in
- Practice with $10,000 virtual balance
- Uses live market prices but doesn't affect real money

**Authenticated Trading**
- Log in with Hugo's Way credentials
- Access full trading with real funds
- Manage positions and track performance

### Install as Mobile App (PWA)
- **iOS**: Open in Safari, tap Share button, then "Add to Home Screen"
- **Android**: Tap menu (⋮), select "Add to Home Screen" or "Install App"

### Customization
- **Themes**: Dark, Light, or System theme
- **Sound Notifications**: Audio feedback for position opened, profit close, loss close, order triggered

Powered by TradingView technology with professional charting capabilities.

### Features

### Position Lines on Chart
- **Entry Line**: Shows entry price with position details and real-time P&L
- **Stop Loss (S/L)**: Red line - drag to adjust
- **Take Profit (T/P)**: Green line - drag to adjust
- **Margin Call (MC)**: Red dashed line showing margin call trigger price

### Quick Trading from Chart
Right-click on chart to access:
- Buy Limit @ Price
- Sell Limit @ Price
- Copy Price
- Reset Chart View

### AI Chart Analysis
Export chart data to ChatGPT or Claude for educational technical analysis:
- Select time period (4h, 16h, or 24h)
- AI provides observations about patterns, support/resistance, technical conditions
- Download JSON for custom analysis

## Order Types

### Market Order
Execute immediately at current market price. Best for instant entry/exit.

### Limit Order
Set specific price to enter. Buy limits execute at your price or lower, sell limits at your price or higher.

### Stop Order
Trigger when price breaks through a level. Great for breakout trading strategies.

### Grid Order
Place multiple orders at regular price intervals. Useful for dollar-cost averaging or range-bound markets.

### Bracket Order
Plan entire trade with entry, stop loss, and take profit in one order. Visual risk planning shows risk/reward before entering.

## Risk Management

### Position Sizing
- Volume measured in "lots"
- 1 standard lot = 100,000 units of base currency
- 0.01 lots = micro lot for tighter risk control

### Stop Loss & Take Profit
- **Stop Loss**: Automatically closes position if market moves against you
- **Take Profit**: Automatically closes when profit target reached

### Risk/Reward Ratio
- Compares potential profit to potential loss
- 1:2 ratio = risk $1 to potentially make $2
- Professional traders aim for at least 1:2
- With 1:2 R:R, only need 34% win rate to be profitable

### Risk Management Rules
- Never risk more than 1-2% of account on single trade
- Always set stop loss before entering
- Don't move stop loss further away once set
- Consider spread when setting tight stop losses

## Managing Positions

### Positions Table
- Shows all open trades with real-time P&L
- Mini P&L chart for each position (green = profit, red = loss)
- Sort by symbol, profit, volume, etc.

### Actions
- Edit: Modify Stop Loss or Take Profit levels
- Close: Close position at current market price
- Close All: Close all positions at once (requires confirmation)

## Pending Orders

Orders waiting to be triggered, execute automatically when price reaches specified level.

### Order Types
- **Buy Limit**: Executes when price falls to your level
- **Buy Stop**: Executes when price rises to your level
- **Sell Limit**: Executes when price rises to your level
- **Sell Stop**: Executes when price falls to your level

### Chart Visualization
- Orange labels = limit orders
- Purple labels = stop orders
- Drag labels to change trigger price
- Click X to cancel instantly

Real-time prices for all available instruments with unique asset icons.

### Price Display
- **Bid**: Price to sell (what buyers pay)
- **Ask**: Price to buy (what sellers want)
- **Spread**: Difference between bid and ask

- Search bar for quick symbol lookup
- Filter by category (forex, crypto, indices, metals)
- Click any symbol to load on chart

## Market Sessions

Shows which major trading sessions are currently active.

### Sessions
- Sydney, Tokyo, London, New York
- Session overlaps have highest liquidity

### Best Trading Times (UTC)
- **London/New York Overlap (13:00-16:00)**: Highest liquidity and volatility, best for major forex pairs
- **Tokyo/London Overlap (07:00-09:00)**: Good for JPY and EUR pairs

### Market Hours
- **Forex**: Closes Friday 22:00 UTC, reopens Sunday 22:00 UTC
- **Crypto**: Trades 24/7

## Economic Calendar

Shows upcoming economic events that can impact market prices.

### Impact Levels
- Low, Medium, High impact events
- High impact events can cause significant volatility

### Trading Around News
- Consider widening stops before high-impact events
- Spreads often widen during news releases
- Avoid entering positions just before major announcements
- Wait for volatility to settle before trading reaction

## Account Overview

### Key Metrics
- **Balance**: Account value excluding open positions (realized value)
- **Equity**: Balance + unrealized P&L from open positions (real-time value)
- **Margin**: Amount reserved as collateral for open positions
- **Free Margin**: Available funds for new positions (Equity - Margin)
- **Margin Level**: Percentage ratio of equity to margin

### Margin Call & Stop-Out Warning
If margin level falls below threshold:
- Margin call warning issued
- If it falls further, positions automatically closed (stop-out)
- Always maintain adequate free margin

Compact trading bar at bottom of each chart:
- +/- buttons to adjust lot size
- Slider for quick volume selection
- Manual input for precise amounts
- Shows max affordable lots
- BUY button shows live ask price
- SELL button shows live bid price
